Organizing Products So Nice I Bought Them Twice
I’m not a fan of buying things you don’t need, and I’ll always advocate that you declutter before you buy. But there comes a point in every organization project where it helps to buy some product. Organizing products contain the items and maintain the categories… in other words, they keep it organized. Today I’m rounding up my favorite high-quality organizing products that worked so well that I bought them multiple times.
My Favorite High-Quality Organizing Products
Stackable Bathroom Bins: I bought these to organize a bathroom drawer, and then I loved them so much that I organized 2 more drawers with them. Using the stacking feature, I keep my toiletry back-ups underneath the products currently in use, so I always have a back-up on hand. And then the top layer is both beautiful and functional.
Coiled Rope Baskets: I love these rope baskets for baby and kids’ items. They’re soft yet strong, and oh so cute.
Fabric Storage Baskets: I have these all over my house, also for kids’ items and toys. But I also love to use one as a house purse!
Wave Storage Bins: These have been great for linen closets. I bought them for our linen closets at home as well as at our family lake house.
Roll Out Bins: I use these in our coffee station and for trash bags under the sink. They are so sturdy and perfect for low cabinets because they make it easy to access items in the back.
Long Storage Bins: I originally purchased these to store breast milk bags in our deep freezer, and they’ve turned out to be perfect for lots of different kids’ items in the kitchen. We keep kids’ water bottles and sippy cups in them, and continue to use them in the fridge and freezer. Again, the long dimensions make it easy to access items in the back.
Heavy Duty Storage Bins: These are my go-to storage bins, especially for baby gear and baby/kids’ clothes. But truly anything that goes in storage. It’s key to have clear bins so that you can see what’s inside. (But also, don’t forget to label EVERYTHING that goes into storage! It’s fairly quick and will save you much more time in the future.)
Expandable Drawer Organizer: This is such a high-quality drawer organizer that looks great. But my favorite thing about it is that it’s adjustable. You don’t have to find something that matches your drawer’s dimensions perfectly, and it can transfer well from one drawer to another if you every move or reorganize. After buying it for our silverware drawer and loving it, I bought the same thing for our coffee station.
Water Bottle Organizer: The ultimate way to store water bottles is sideways, because you can access each one without having to dig around. We got this water bottle organizer, but I also would recommend a small brand that I recently found: SpaceAid. I love their bamboo options, which I just think look better. And they have different size options that you can customize to your space.
YouCopia Crazy Susan: This is the ultimate organizational product for high shelves and cabinets. The turntable has removable compartments, so you can turn it to the one that you need and bring it down to your level for easy access. It’s a smart way to ensure the back of those high spaces is being used effectively. I have these in my laundry room cabinets, mud room cabinets, and kitchen cabinets.
Packing Cubes: Wow, how I love some good packing cubes. They make it easier to contain the items within your suitcase and then transition seamlessly into drawers at your destination. They are like the sub-folders of a suitcase. I was actually gifted a set last year, and then I loved them so much that I went on to buy multiple sets for the rest of my family!
Battery Organizer: This has been a hit. We only need one in my home, but my extended family has become such a fan that I’ve bought more as gifts for them!
Cord Weight: You’ve got to keep your cords organized. A simple cord weight like this one is a great way to keep cords in place on bedside tables, desks, or side tables. After buying a few, I became addicted, and now I need one anywhere we have a cord.
Cord Management Box: These cord boxes are great for under desks or next to beds—again, anywhere where there are lots of cords. They hide the ugly cords, and they keep babies and pets away from playing with them.
Dry Erase Labels: I love these labels! Crazy fact: this is the organizational product I’ve actually spent the most money on so far this year. It seems crazy, but it’s because I’ve really come to find so much value in labeling, and these labels are great. I like the metal clip-on form for adding to baskets and bins that don’t work well with stickers. The dry-erase function works well if you need to change up the label. If you want something more permanent, you can also put a sticker on the metal label. It’s just the best label form for baskets.
Label Maker: As you may have figured out by now, I love labeling. This trusty label-maker connects to your phone via bluetooth, and then you can customize the labels on an app and print them immediately. I actually bought this one twice because I LOST my first one, but I missed it and loved it so much that I had to buy another one to replace it.
