My Most Efficient Goal
We’re about a month into the new year, so I’m taking a moment to reflect on my New Year’s resolutions. How have I done? In all honestly, not great… But one success that I am excited about is my progress in tracking my water intake, because it has really helped me drink more water, which (not to be dramatic or anything) is kind of changing my life.
Drinking water is an EASY goal. (And you know how much I love small goals!) It is very realistic and achievable, as long as you have access to clean water. And at the same time, drinking water is EXTREMELY BENEFICIAL for your body. Some benefits, to name a few…
- Helps you sleep better at night
- Gives you more energy during the day
- Makes your brain function better
- Helps you lose weight
- Boosts exercise performance
- Prevents headaches
- Boosts skin health and beauty
- Helps most bodily functions (i.e. digestion)
…and the list goes on!
When I compare the list of benefits with the ease of doing it, I can’t help but think that staying hydrated is one of the most efficient ways to improve your quality of life. So why not do it?!
The main reason that I don’t always drink enough water is usually just because I forget. The best way for me to remember is to keep a fun water bottle (that has a straw!) with me throughout the day so that I can absent-mindedly sip on it continuously. Here are some of my recent favorites:

I don’t have something like this, but I know a lot of people who love a timed water bottle like this one!
Snap Straws
This is another item on my wish list: snap straws that OPEN UP for easy and thorough cleaning! Brilliant.
Or just use what you have… whatever is easiest to help you achieve this SMALL goal with BIG results!
