My Amazon Prime Day Picks: Organizing Products
Happy Amazon Prime Day, everybody! I first want to discuss how to shop for Prime Day Deals intentionally, and then I’ll share my favorite organizing products that are included in the sale. Let’s dive in!
How To Shop Amazon Prime Day Intentionally
Yes, it’s Amazon Prime Day, but there’s no need to panic. First and foremost, you don’t need to buy anything. If this stuff overwhelms you, then don’t worry about it! You will save the MOST money by not buying anything at all, so there is no need to worry that you’re “missing out” on a sale. If you really needed something, you probably would have bought it already. And if you haven’t needed it yet, then there’s a good chance there will be another sale in the future when it becomes more necessary. So take a deep breath. This is not a race.
But if you’re like me, and you love to shop sales, then Amazon Prime Day is a great day to stock up on items that you need or will be needing soon. But please do your best to avoid buying things you don’t need. We don’t want today’s purchase to become tomorrow’s clutter. Rather, we want to buy intentionally. High quality over quantity. Items that will truly solve a problem in your life!
In order to do this, I recommend that you make a list of what you need rather than simply browsing. Then use the search bar to search specifically for what you need, and filter upon “Prime Day Deals” to see if there are any good deals on the item. This way you can avoid temptation to buys things you don’t need.
(I know this blog post is a form of “browsing” deals in and of itself, so please pass along if you are not in active need of organizing products!)
Additionally, you can check that something is actually a good deal by checking it against a third-party price tracking website like camelcamelcamel.com. Sometimes companies will hike up the price of an item shortly before a sale in order to make it look like it’s marked down during the sale. Don’t fall into marketing traps simply because the sale feels like it’s going to run out. Also, you can use these charts to see if it’s likely that the same item will be on sale again in the future (ex. on Black Friday).
My Amazon Prime Day Picks: Organizing Products
If you are actively looking for organizing products, here are my favorite organization picks included in the sale.
SpaceAid Bamboo Drawer Dividers: I love how adjustable these are. Perfect for organizing a kitchen drawer full of small items!
SpaceAid Bamboo Lid Organizer: If you want to keep your food storage containers organized, all you really have to do is organize the lids. This will make it cleaner to stack and access everything else.
YouCopia StoreMore Expandable Pan and Lid Rack: It’s best to use a rack to keep non-matching pans and lids organized so that you can access each one independently of the others. I love this rack in particular because it’s expandable to fit your space perfectly.
YouCopia Water Bottle Organizer: Another great use of vertical space to achieve easy access.
YouCopia RollOut Fridge Caddy: I’ve had my eye on this one for a while, because I need a good way to control small items in the fridge. I love the rolling feature!
YouCopia Crazy Susan Lazy Susan Organizer: I have this in multiple places around my house because it’s perfect high up shelves or cabinets. The compartments are removable, so not only can you turn the container around to see items from the back, but you can also pull them down from the shelf.
YouCopia Dry & Store Reusable Bag Drying Rack and Bin: I never know how to store Stasher bags. This is the only product I’ve ever seen that I think could do it. And I love that it acts as a storage container AND a drying rack.
Stasher Reusable Silicone Storage Bag: Speaking of Stasher bags, the bags themselves are on sale too! Great for food storage as well as purse or beach bag pouches.
Large Acrylic Risers: These are a powerful tool in a pantry, and at a great price.
Magnetic Stove Top Shelf: How clever is this? If you’re short on space, this would be a great place to store your most commonly used oils and spices.
Over-the-Door Hanging Organizer: Over-the-door organizers are a GREAT use of vertical space. Add them to a mud room, pantry, linen closet, bedroom, etc., and you’ve instantly got so much more storage space. (Pro tip: You can use some strong adhesive hooks if you don’t want hooks hanging over the door frame.)
Amazon Basics Slim Velvet Non-Slip Hangers: If you are in the market for some velvet hangers, this is a great price. These are the ultimate way to level-up a closet.
Packing Cubes: What’s not to love?!
Clear Toiletry Bags: I originally bought this affordable set of clear bags for our diaper bag, and they have held up so well that I just bought an additional set as pouches for our family beach bag. I may have to get even more at this great price! I love a pouch because it’s like the “subfolder” of the purse. And clear is great to quickly find what you’re looking for.
Hanging Toiletry Bag: I believe that a good toiletry bag needs to hang, because typically space in travel bathrooms is sparse, and it’s helpful to have something that can take advantage of vertical space (i.e. hang).
Humble Crew Toy Organizer: This would be great piece of furniture to keep toys organized.
Happy shopping!
